A small seed of an idea that had rooted itself in the minds of a few tireless Shravaks has now fully blossomed into the Jain Alert Group of USA & Canada! From officially receiving 501(c)(3) status to supporting 4000+ Sadharmiks during the COVID pandemic, Jain Alert Group is progressing towards the mission of uplifting the Jain community across the world.

Gurudev’s greatest desire is to see every member of the Jain community be uplifted – financially, socially, and academically, both at home and abroad. We would like to share with you a brief recap of the various activities that Jain Alert Group of USA has undertaken over the last year.
Jain Alert USA undertook three major projects towards fulfilling Gurudev’s vision:
- Alert DOST (Dedicated Overseas Support Team): Alert DOST was our flagship project to help any incoming Jain students get settled in a new country by connecting them with each other and with already well-settled Sadharmik “Hosts” nearby. We also offer professional development advice and guidance through workshops and student clubs. We have created a student directory where employers can search through our database of students to find a match for their company. To date, we have supported 300+ students and have 450+ Hosts ready to help! Sign up to be a host today!
- Aert Sadharmik Adoption Program: After Gurudev Shri’s heartfelt appeal to help fellow Sadharmiks who are financially struggling under the shadow of Covid. Just from donations raised in the USA & Canada alone, we were able to support 700+ Sadharmik families for 6 months! Watch our leader, Shri Palakbhai Shah talk about who our Sadharmiks are and how we were able to help them!
- Alert SMIT: Every year, thousands of Sadhus and Sadhvis do Vihar along major Vihar routes in Gujarat and Maharashtra. In hundreds of villages along these routes, only a handful of Jain families take care of the Upashrays, Derasars and Sadhus/Sadhvis. Alert SMIT’s goal is to provide these families top-quality food kits with which they can prepare their meals and provide Gochari to passing Sadhus/Sadhvis. Other Highlights:
- Virtual Chha Gaon Bhavyatra and Youth Competition – In the weeks leading up to Fagan Sud Teras, we led our FB and Instagram followers on a virtual Chha Gaon Yatra. We also asked our future Alert members to send videos explaining the significance of Fagan Sud Teras. See the winners of Bhavyatra competition!
- Bhakti Night – Jain Alert Group of Michigan gathered at one member’s home for dinner, games. The fun evening ended with an hour long Bhavana! Watch the recording on Facebook!
- Derasar Mahapujan – Alert Group of Michigan performed Diwali Mahapujan where many youth and Sangh members decorated the inner sanctum of the Derasar. This was a first-time experience for many, and members enjoyed it so much that we plan to continue this every year.
- Alert Group of New Jersey Students volunteer at Jain Center of New Jersey during Paryushan celebration. New Jersey Alert Students volunteer for various temple activities during Paryushan at Jain Center of New Jersey. The young youth taking active part in the temple inspired the sangh and also increased the excitement of Paryushan celebrations.
- Alert Shop – Gurudev Shri’s newest books are available on our website! You can purchase any book at no risk and return it anytime. We will reimburse you the cost deducting only the shipping charges.
